Last monday 15nov2010 with my 2005 Voxan Scrambler 39000km, the PAIOLI rear shock absorber ruptured while at low speed (luckily) a 100m from home!
I could not imagine the consequence of such a breakage at high speed or in a gentle turn...

Prior to the failure, I had noticed a kind of squizzy noise while riding the motorbike. I would suggest to inspect or replace it around 30000km, for your own safety.
