I mean things like dumping off passenger footrests.
very sensible, saves a kilo or more. I guess the mufflers are also a bit lighter than the original cans.
lighter wheels would help a lot. But that would be an expensive move.
lighter battery, alloy subframe, brake disks with less material, smaller caliper for the rear brake. Minimal plate holder, small blinkers ...
cheers, Frank

It wil be a 1 seatet bike. No passenger footrests. It is nog nessesery to make my bike lighter. It's just for a nicer look. I like the standard BBS wheels. The subframe is originally alloy, other brake discs are too expensive for now, Battery is fine, made myself a minimal plate holder and blinkers

Home made chain guide is now in the last stadium of proto.
We are getting somewhere now. Subframe is coated matt black, and put it back in place with wiring. New home made exhaust mounts put in place.
Hmmm nice ass.....
Sensors from airbox removed. They are mounted in a other position, because the air intake in the steeringhead is used for electrical wiring.
New spot for the seat lock.
Made a side shield, but that is just the first fase.
Next thursday i have to go to the hospital for hernia sergery.
It will take a couple of weeks before I will react again.

Hi...
Nice work! Great pictures to follow your work steo by step...
I know how hard it is to do all this, because I did it, too...
So at last I hope you are finished at the German meeting, I will be there! We have a lot of things to talk about and to look, how the other one did it...
And as always: Some things I would have done a other way... Really great work! Looking forward to see the finished Bike!

Re: Cafe Racer goes Magic!
Nice job you did with the rear Voxracer! It is not easy to make that nice looking. That is a nice difference! Hope to meet you there!
Things that I need to do now, is:
- fueltank to paintshop (damaged BM tank from Leboncoin)
- Electric wiring is ready, but has to be finished. (regulator etc. under seat)
- Rear side panels to paintshop
- Airbox modification so the RSV Tuono K&N can be fitted.
- Front fender (from guzzi griso) make it fit properly and to paintshop
- Chain guide to powdercoater
And some other small things.
Exhaust mufflers are from Marving (Italy) and made the link tubes fitted, and welded, so I needed no clamps.
I don't know yet how the sound will be, but I think that will not be the problem ;)

Re: Cafe Racer goes Magic!
Hello Paddy,
Yes, it's been a week now, and I am limited in my movement now.
I want the mont april to rest and recover. Plan is to finish Vox in May, but it depends on how the recovery goes.
Hopefully I will make it to the German meeting.
On the first of June is the Dutch meeting. If there is interest, I can arrange the adress.

Re: Cafe Racer goes Magic!
Trying to pick up some small things again. Fueltank is going to paintshop next saturday.
My mate brought me a small frame he made at work, for the RSV K&N filter.
This is going to be part of the original airbox. I think that works for me!

Re: Cafe Racer goes Magic!
wow, that looks promising!
Will that double the amount of air intake? I wonder if you'll need a new mapping.
Cheers, Frank
