Cafe Racer goes Magic!

Hello,

I'm JFJ from the forum from Holland. I'am going to change my Voxan, cause I bought a Black Magic fuel tank in France. It was on the internet, and that was my change because I love that bike the most.

Soon it will arrive in Holland en then I'm going to make a start and put also pictures heren.

Fine that there is a english part on this forum. Now I wil be here more often.

Hello People, It is nog easy to say everything in english.
That's why I put it here in dutch. If you want you can translate with Google.

Ik ben gisteren maar eens even begonnen met het koplampframe. Op het Tstuk zit nu een stukje hoeklijn van 25x25 wat met twee trillingsdempers vast zit. Daar komen twee stalen buisjes van rond 12, die omhoog gaan naar de kroonplaat, alwaar (mooi tingting woord) twee tapgaatjes zitten bij het contact slot. Op dit frame word ook de tellerset gemonteerd.

Ik heb een opzetje gemaakt met lamp en tellerset, maar kreeg de koplamp niet mooi op de plek die ik wilde. Omdat deze vrij diep is, kwam hij tegen het contactslot aan.

Daarom heb ik er voor gekozen een uitsparing te boren, zodat het contactslot in de koplamp doorsteekt.

Nu heb ik de positie die ik wil en kan ik het koplampframe af gaan maken zodat ik daar twee oren aan kan maken. Dat gaat er net zo uit zien als de foto een stukje naar boven.

Hier is te zien dat het contactslot doorsteekt in de koplamp



Binnenkant:



Tellerset mooi in geheel en iets boven de vloeistof potjes uit, net als origineel Black Magic.



Hoop eind van de week het koplamp frame af te hebben.

Vanavond verder gegaan met het koplamp freempje. Buisjes toch nog weer in de prullebak gegooid en anders gemaakt. Nu gaan er twee buisjes zonder las naar de hoeklijn die op het Tstuk komt. Boel vast geklemd op de werkbank om aan te hechten. Lasmoat kan de boel dan weer aflassen. Alles komt in rubbers te hangen. Met een loodgieters buigtang en wat stalen buis komen we een heel eind ;) Ik heb dan ook al heel wat bochtjes gemaakt voor mijn werk.





De Vox had standaard al tapgaatjes op het Tstuk:



Buis plat geknepen en rubbers in een gat van 11mm. Van RVS buis 8mm kan je heel mooi afstandsbusjes maken ;)

Still working on the project, but it takes longer than I planned to finish it.
New deadline is set on march/april 2014.

After cleaning the engine started to put back one of the frame tubes.



New coated frame tube on top of the oiltank:



RVS bouten gebruikt, en de draad geisoleerd met Neverseez. Dat voorkomt dat het alu zich gaat ergeren aan het RVS. Duur spul maar heb maar een beetje nodig.

Used RVS bolts, and isolated them with Neverseez, so the RVS won't corrodes the alu. Expesive stuff, but need just a little bit of it.

Made some good progress today. Frame tubes, steeringhead are on its place.







Next week there is not so much time, but i am happy so far.
